Carol Ann Moore, 81, of Chester, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018, at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born, September 21, 1936, in East Liverpool, she is a daughter of the late Ruth Springer Fowler and Charles Featherstone. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Moore and by her infant son, Scott A. Moore.

Carol is a Protestant by faith. She is a 1954 graduate of East Liverpool High School and she received her bachelor’s degree from Kent State University. Carol went on to receive her master’s degree from St. Franciscan University.

Carol was a 5th-grade teacher at North Elementary, where she made lifelong relationships with many teachers and students. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling to Florida, living there during the winter months. She also enjoyed bowling and attending card club.

She will be missed by her daughters, Kelly Wheat and her husband Rich of Valley Grove, WV. and Joni Lowers and husband Mark of Chester; sister, Tracy and her husband Larry Bierman; grandchildren, Brian Wheat (Dulce), Amy Esposito (Josh) and by her great-grandchildren, Liam Wheat, Jay Aloria, Gia and Vin Esposito. She will also be missed by her dear friend, Leonard Six, with whom she shared many wonderful trips to Florida and by her many nieces and nephews.

We’ll celebrate Carol’s life on Monday, July 9, 2018, at 10:30 AM, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Friends may visit with the family, Sunday, July 8, from noon-4:00 PM. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery.
