Elton Lee Schon, 87, of Chester, passed away following a brief illness, Friday, June 29, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. Born, August 11, 1930, in Newell, WV. , she is a daughter of the late Rube and Pleasant Crawford Armstrong.

Elton was also preceded in death by her sons, Dale and Joe Schon and by her 4 brothers and 3 sisters. She attended Wells High School. Elton was a dedicated mother to her five children after raising her five children she began her second career as a beautician.

Elton will be sadly missed by her husband, Marshall “Blaine” Schon, On May 11 they were married for 69 years. She will also be missed by her daughters, Linda Butto and her husband Anthony of New Manchester, Edna Drane and her husband Bob of Calcutta and Peggy Moore and her husband Randy of Calcutta; and by her 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Elton’s wishes were to have a private burial that will be held at a later date, and the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester were in charge of making these arrangements.
