Obituary for Carol Sue Cookson Carol Sue Cookson, known by many as “Cookie” in the Webbers Falls School System where she taught for 36 years, heard her final bell on Saturday, August 18, 2018 in Tahlequah, OK. She loved the humor of having been born on Halloween, 1954. She also loved her family, traveling, reading, old Western movies, bonfires, softball, and her dogs.

But mostly, she loved teaching and mentoring her kids at school and living on the family ranch on Four Mile Road in Fort Gibson. Carol is survived by four siblings; Larry Cookson and wife Susannah, Butch Cookson and wife Karen, Bob Cookson and wife Kathryn, and Connie Cookson along with eight nieces and nephews; Cynthia Barrie, Clinton Warrick, Amanda Propst, James Cookson, Brent Cookson, Bonnie Cookson, Brian Cookson, and Elizabeth Tillery. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nora Nail Cookson, her father, Cecil Cookson, a sister, Linda Warrick, and a nephew, Clifton Warrick.

A memorial service will be 10AM Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Gibson with Brother Butch Cook officiating.
