Carol Ann Norris, 81, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019 at her home. She was born December 3, 1937 in Louisville, KY to the late Fred H. and Barbara Irene Brown Kantlehner. Carol was a nurses nurse.

She nursed in the cities of Middlesboro, London, Corbin, Bowling Green, and returned back to Owensboro in 1968 where she retired from Owensboro Daviess County Hospital in 2001. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she was also an active member of the Women of First Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Prime Timers, a past member of the Pilot Club and Women’s Club, and volunteered at the Free Clinic.

Carol was also a board member at the Green River District Health Department, and she loved reading, traveling and crocheting. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Richard G. Norris; sons, Richard Val Norris and Fred Dana Norris, both of Owensboro; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a daughter in law, Lee Ann Norris; and a special grand-daughter, Marie Norris. Memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 18, 2019 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.

Visitation is from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to American Heart Association, P.O.
