Carole J. “Grandma” Reed, 78, of Palmyra passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at home. Born September 29, 1939 in Hershey, she was a daughter of the late Chester E. and Geneva G. (Nusser) Reed and was also preceded in death by daughter Wendy Shifflet. Her sister Barbara passed away July 12, 2018.

Retired from the former Kraft Foods, Palmyra, she loved Christmas and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and family. Surviving are her son JohnDavid Reitenbach, husband of Kimberly of Denver; son-in-law Mark Shifflet; sisters Betty and Belva; grandchildren Brandy, Olivia, Mandy, Bridget, Markie, Katie, and Hope; and seven great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a visitation from 6:00 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon County Humane Society, 150 North Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
