Melvin E. Siegrist, 80, of Lemoyne and formerly of Palmyra passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Hershey Medical Center. Born November 11, 1937 in North Annville Township, he was the son of the late Daniel Early and Mabel A. (Umberger) Siegrist. He was the widower of Gladys M. (Fager) Siegrist since July 14, 2018 after 60+ years of marriage.

Retired as a dock worker from Yellow Freight Trucking, he was a U. S. Army veteran. Melvin was a member of Palmyra V. F. W and a 50+ year member of Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company serving both as a fireman and later with the Fire Police. Surviving are his children Nevin, widower of Vicki Siegrist of Palmyra, Melody Siegrist of Lemoyne and Jeffrey, husband of Patricia Siegrist of Palmyra; sisters Thelma Nye of Grantville and Mary Jane Thompson of Riverside, California; grandchildren Jeremy, husband of Kathryn Siegrist of Palmyra, Katelyn Kline of Lemoyne and Nicole Siegrist of Palmyra; and great grandchildren Noah and Jett Siegrist.

A funeral service, with military honors, will be held 3:00 PM Friday, November 9, 2018 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company, 2818 Horseshoe Pike, Palmyra, PA 17078.
