John R. DeRemer, Jr., 69, of Lower Paxton Township, passed away Thursday at his home. Born February 3, 1949 in Scranton, he was the son of the late John R. DeRemer, Sr., and Gail A. (Gibbs) DeRemer. Following his graduation from Susquehanna High School, John worked as a salesman for W&L Beverage and then owned his own home inspection business.

John was also preceded in death by his sister, Lois Cressman, and his grandson, Luke Szekeres. Surviving is his wife: Patricia J. (Wilson) DeRemer; his daughter: Kimberly DeRemer Szekeres; his son: John R. DeRemer, III, (Robin); his son: Michael DeRemer (Lindsay); his daughter: Erin Giambrone (Nino); his grandchildren: Madeline Szekeres, Jack DeRemer, Wesley DeRemer, Nino Giambrone, III, Pierson DeRemer, Kai DeRemer and Lydia Giambrone. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 6, 2018 at United Church of God, 1211 Fairmont Drive, Harrisburg, preceded by a visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Children’s Hospital, PO Box 852, Hershey, PA 17033 or Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
