Carole Joan Maxfield Obituary Photo

We said goodbye for now to our sweet angel mother, grandmother and great grandmother who passed away, surrounded by her family, passed and present, on January 27, 2019. Born October 15, 1934 to John and Melva Farrell in Salt Lake City, Utah. Carole married her handsome, ginger haired man, Don D. Maxfield on June 17, 1955.

Together Carole and Don raised four children: Terry, Scott, Kelli and Shawn. If there ever was someone who exemplified ministering, serving, and pure Christ like love it was this precious woman. She loved her family with her whole heart and soul.

She lived to serve and lift others. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren adore her. Watching them all come to say goodbye to her was a reflection of a life filled with love.

Although we will no longer be able to hear her cheerful laugh, look into her loving sparkly eyes or hold her tender aging hands, we are comforted with the knowledge that there was a joyful reunion in heaven as she reunited with her sweetheart, her parents and so many others who welcomed her with open arms, including the Savior. Oh, how she will be missed. We are so grateful families truly are Eternal and Forever.

We will be forever thankful to The Inn at Barton Creek and Creekside Senior Living centers where Carole quickly won over all hearts and where our hearts were blessed by the care and loving service they provided for her. Carole is survived by: Terry Maxfield (Michelle) Scott Maxfield (Jodi) Kelli Hintze (Brent) and Shawn Maxfield. Carole had 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at The Eleventh Ward: 951 East 100 South, Salt Lake City, UT. Viewing Friday, February 1st, 7:00-9:00pm and Saturday, February 2nd, 9:00-9:45am. Funeral services: 10:00am.

Interment at Salt Lake City Cemetery.
