Carolina Sue Goodman, age 66, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Gateway Regional Medical Center, Granite City, IL, Sue was born on March 30, 1952 in Hickory, NC, a daughter of the late Leroy Walker and Mildred (Powers) Walker. On July 2, 1968, Sue Walker married Thomas Glenwood Goodman, the love her life. Thomas passed away on August 6, 2003.

Sue was a faithful member of Calvary Life Church in Granite City, IL. She was a proud homemaker who loved taking care of her family. Sue enjoyed gardening, traveling and going to the casinos.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Sue loved life, she loved to laugh, but most of all she loved her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Alayah. She is survived by her loving children, Thomas G. (Elizabeth) Goodman Jr., of Livingston, IL, Rachel (David) Royer of New Douglas, IL, Charles (Lesa) Goodman of St. Peters, MO and John (Leigh) Goodman of Granite City, IL; dear siblings, Charles Nichols, Mildred Buskirk and Sharon McWilliams; proud grandmother to Elizabeth, Thomas, Brandy Jo, Christopher, Brooke, Nora, Samantha, Kylie, Clark and Harrison; proud great-grandmother to Robert Glen, Bella, Sam, Mia and Thomas IV; special friend, Mel Perkins; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL.

Visitation will continue from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Calvary Life Church, 4650 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL. In celebration of her life, funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, at the church with Pastor Mark Maynard officiating. Sue will be laid to rest next to Thomas at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, IL.

Memorial donations may be given to American Diabetes Association. Donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.
