Caroll A. Robbins July 19, 1933 – January 22, 2019 Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Caroll A. Robbins was born July 19, 1933 and entered Heaven’s gates on January 22nd 2019. He was born to Clyde and Dovie Robbins in Tucumcari. NM.

Caroll spent many of his early years in Eastern Oklahoma running around creating mischief, as young boys do, with his younger brother, Leslie. After graduating at the top of his class, he entered the U.S. Air Force, where he was assigned to the B36 Peacemaker. After leaving the Radiation Team at Holloman Air Force Base, he owned and operated Robbins Dry Cleaners in Alamogordo for several years, prior to his retirement.

He was married to Mamie Castorena Robbins for 34 years prior to her passing in 1993. He later found love again and married Martha Robbins. He was always a very loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and creating beauty with his art. Caroll never met a stranger and had a never-ending desire to learn and experience new things. Aside from his treasured and beloved ’54 Mercury, airplanes were his true passion and anytime he heard one fly above, he would lift his gaze upward to watch it.

He will forever remain in the hearts for his wife, Martha Robbins; daughter, DeeAnne Robbins of Lompoc, CA; daughter, deLaine Robbins Hart (Wilbert) of Las Cruces, NM; his beloved brother Leslie (Oralee) of Tucumcari, NM; sons, Jim (Dawn) Syling of Mesquite , NV; Gary (Glenda) Syling of Colorado Springs, CO; daughters, Cheryl (Chuck) Hill of Phoenix, AZ, Marla Syling Zagar of Colorado Springs, CO and Karen Whitfield of El Paso, TX. Caroll was blessed with grandchildren Jessica Hart St. Louis, Shanae (Rafa) Segoviano, Jammal (Celina) Hart, Marissa Weaver, Jimmy Syling, Drew (Nicole) Syling, Rochelle Sammons, Jaclyn (Bill) Oden, Kayla Sammons, Jeremiah (Lysette) Hill, Justin Hill, Jeff (Deenae) Dingee, Rianne (Ryan) Anderson, Garrison Syling, Blair (Eric) Wright, Stephanie (Jeff) Moulton, Marlana (David) Hohnholt and Steven (Kristan) Whitfield and 36 cherished great-grandchildren and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Caroll was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Dovie Robbins; his daughter, Susan Gail Robbins and his wife, Mamie Castorena Robbins.

Services will be officiated by Caroll’s nephew, James (Denece) Robbins on Saturday, January 26th at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Alamogordo, NM In lieu of flowers, family has requested donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
