A daughter of the late Elmer William Durkee and Emma Higgins Durkee, she was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on March 16, 1942. She retired from the Florida Department of Highway Safety as an Analyst after many years of service.

A Christian, she enjoyed cats and her plants and flowers in her yard. A private graveside service will be held at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. Online condolences may be expressed at www.
