Obituary for Ms. Carolyn Faye Johnson Carolyn Faye Johnson was born on January 14, 1958 to Lorene Grimmett and Luther Atkins in Saginaw, Michigan. She passed away October 14, 2018 at the age of 60 years. She was a fun and loving mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother.

She was the life of every party and was known for all her outrageous quotes just to name a few; “I can make you put yo phone down”, “I’m all that and all that matters”, “Not this time”, and her favorite, “Betcha Betcha”. Carolyn went to Carrollton Public Schools and worked in the Dietary Department at Veterans Hospital for a few years. She loved dressing in her crispy white uniform and white shoes.

Ms. Johnson leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, LaKisha Grimmett; two sons, Shannon Grimmett and Michael “Mikey” Moore, Jr.; three granddaughters, De’Quesha, Shan’Tiara “Chacha” Grimmett and MaKiah Moore; two grandsons, Michael “Baby Mikey” Moore III and Malik; two sisters, Shirley Nickleberry and Jacqueline Grimmett; two brothers, Donald (Bridgette) Grimmett; Willie (Lorraine) Davis; special nieces and nephews, Davonnda (Tracey) Thomas, Melvin (Rachel) Johnson, Marquita, Jerry (Rachael) Wilkins, Kimble (Nikki) Johnson; god-daughter, Tamika Hannah; like a daughter, Regina (Colburn) Wicker-Bey; many more nieces, nephews and friends, including special friend, Ms. Helen Jones and all her neighbors at Mackinaw Heights Apartments; her extended family, Mrs. Mattie Moore and family. Carolyn was preceded in death by her loving mother, Lorene Grimmett; her brothers, Kimble, James and Anthony Grimmett;; a sister, Carolyn Faye; niece, Latosha Harvey; aunt, Hazel Wright and co-parent, Michael Moore, Sr. God is not just good, He’s great. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave.
