Carolyne E. Franklin, 83, of Moline, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at MGT New Hope Church, Moline. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.

Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Family. Carolyne was born on February 9, 1936, the daughter of Loren C. and Anna L. Farren.

She married Donald E. Franklin in August of 1968, in Moline. She retired in 1992 from Deere & Co., where she worked as Manager of Employee Relocation and served as president of the Women’s Traffic & Transportation Club. After her retirement from Deere & Co., she opened Franklin Real Estate Services, Moline.

She was a member of MGT New Hope Church. Carolyne enjoyed painting and sculpture. She was an active member of the Left Bank Art League and served as president and treasurer.

Spending time with family and friends was very important to Carolyne who made every effort to attend all her grandkids school and sporting events wherever and whenever possible. Survivors include her husband, Donald; son, David (Candace) Sountris, Moline; grandchildren, Jared and Ethan Sountris, both of Moline; stepchildren, Randall Franklin, Arab, Alabama, Laurie Messmer, Moline, Kimberly Franklin, Moline; step grandchildren, Allen Cates, Davenport, James Dunn, Geneseo, Amanda Dunn, Moline, Nathaniel Hauser, Davenport, Nya Hauser, Moline; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and four sisters.
