Catherine’s Obituary Catherine A. (Rene) Lewis was born April 11, 1947 to Preston H. Lewis, Jr. and Lula Mae Lewis. Catherine loved life and was eager to learn new things and experience all types of adventures, while attending the Gulf Coast Mental Health Industries. Catherine was loved and cared for by her loving sister Mrs. Mamie Johnson, along with all of her other nine siblings.

She was very sweet and loving in her own unique way, but everyone in her neighborhood loved her great sense of humor. Catherine attended the Gulf Coast Mental Health Industries four happy days a week, until her health failed. On February 13, 2019, at Cannon Hospice, Catherine went to her heavenly home, at the age of 71.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Preston Lewis, Jr. and Lula Mae Lewis; three brothers, Preston H. Lewis, Jr., James E. Lewis, Sr., and Ronald E. Lewis, Sr She is survived by four brothers; Gregory (Rene) caves- Gulfport, MS, Rev. Anthony Lewis, Sr.- Gulfport, MS, Alfred Lewis- Atlanta, Ga, Charles (Josephine) Lewis- Gulfport, MS; five sisters, Mamie Johnson- Gulfport, MS, Christine (Charles) Tyler- Gulfport, MS, Natherine (Larry) Ware- Montgomery, AL, Nadine Armstrong- Gulfport, MS, Rechelle Cook- Atlanta, GA; three step-sisters, Florence Green- Gulfport, MS, Mary Jo Young- Gulfport, MS, and Patricia Davis- Gulfport, MS; three aunts, Lenora Polk- Gulfport, MS, Sandra Johnson- Gulfport, MS, Irene Ware- Gulfport, MS; two uncles, Robert Walker- Memphis, TN, Alton Polk, Jr.- Memphis, TN; a special friend, Mrs. Lois Parker and a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones.
