Catherine Graham November 27, 1946 – December 15, 2018 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 A Time to be Born Catherine Elinor Graham Watson was lovingly known as “Elinor”. She was born to the late Willie Kearse, and Sadie Ray Graham, born November 27, 1946 in Harlem Hospital. A Time to Live Elinor attended Washington Irving High School where she followed her passion for dance and joined the “Modern Dance Club”.

She also studied nursing. A Time to Love In the summer of 1963 Elinor met the love of her life “Dukie”. The two met through her best friend, Carolyn White.

They became an item and later started a family. Their union produced two children, Jemal and Felicia Watson. In 2013, Elinor rededicated her life to the Lord Jesus Christ.

A Call to Service Elinor’s love for her family allowed her the time to be a stay-at-home mom. Her children meant the world to her. When Elinor walked into a room she was the life of the party and the party began.

Her personality made people gravitate to her, no one was a stranger, and everyone was a friend. Elinor was outspoken with no filter. She graced everyone with her infectious smile.

Elinor was one with great mannerisms, poise, and diction. On Saturday, December 15, 2018, she transitioned in her daughter’s arms, and is at peace. She was always surrounded by her children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends.

Now there is no pain, she is free in the arms of her Lord and Savoir. To cherish her memory and celebrate her life Elinor leaves behind: her son, Jemal; daughter, Felicia; step daughter, Latonya; dearest friend, La Berta; son-in-law, Ali; daughter-in-law, Lysette; grandchildren, Tashara, Laydon, Kevin, La’ Porsche, Asia, Makera, Antonio, Tonisha, Nyasia, Dashawna, Jemal, Jr., and Aaliyah; great grandchildren, Shanti, Shataya, Taji, Presley, Payton, Nassir, Chloe, Scarlet’Monroe, Malory, Makai, and Josiah; siblings, Pearl, Kenny, and Derrick; two sisters-in-law, Carol and Vanessa; one brother-in-law, Darell; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
