Serving as pallbearers: Jaden Meyer, Kragan Sullivan, Nathaniel Hawley, Andrew Medeles Jr., James Robert Willett, Ted Reeves, Benjamin Luna, Danny Hanna, Roger Becker, and Ben Barbro. Chad was born on July 10, 1978 in Ottumwa, Iowa. He is the son of Jeffrey James Meyer and Susan Boren Meyer.
He was raised in Flower Mound, Texas where he graduated from Marcus High School. This is when he began an internship with GTE. He married his first wife, Nicole and they had a son, Jaden who he adored.
He continued his education at North Texas University and earned a degree in Computer Science followed by a Master’s Degree in Advance Computer Engineering from SMU. Chad met Angelia while working together at Blockbuster. She was the “Love of his Life” and they were married on June 8, 2007; where he also gained a “gift daughter,” Alexis.
He worked as a Network Architect: a techy, not a sales guy. Chad and Angelia began expanding their family with the birth of 2 amazing sons followed by “the second love of his life,” a daughter in 2014. Currently he was preparing to move his family to Florida so they could spend the rest of their lives in the surf, on the sand and under the sun….
He was passionate about life. He enjoyed many hobbies and sports from scuba diving, hockey, motorcycles, shooting guns, swimming, boating and all water sports. He was talented at building things like bunk beds, kitchen tables, chicken coops and even a treehouse.
He found joy in simple farm life and coaching his children’s soccer teams. Above all, Chad loved his family and never wanted to be parted from them He is loved and will be missed by his wife Angelia; father Jeffrey Meyer and wife Wava of Iowa; mother Susan Boren Meyer of Arizona; sons Chad Jaden Meyer, Christian Jeffrey Meyer, Collin Joseph Meyer; daughters Alexis Patricia White, Catherine Juliana Faith Meyer; brothers Jeremy Meyer and wife Kimberly of Iowa, Aaron Meyer and wife Jennifer of Iowa; sisters Lisa Meyer-Beshay and Chris Strecker of Vermont, Angela Meyer-Strandlund and husband Sean of Iowa, Michelle Beaver and husband Ryan of Iowa; and “Grandma” Patricia Jermier of Iowa. He will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.
