Obituary for Charlene L. Yates Charlene L. Yates, 55, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Thursdsy, June 28, 2018 in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Robert P. Leyda and Jane Henry Leyda who survives and resides in Rostraver, she was born in N. Charleroi on March 7, 1963. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Charlene had been employed by Mon Valley Hospital for 15 years in the dietary department.

She was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her fiance, Joseph Sokol, two sons and daughters-in-law; Ryan and Chrissy Yates of Belle Vernon and their children, Madison and Kelsey Yates, and Brad and Caiti Yates of Portland, OR, three sisters and brothers-in-law; Paula and Dan Brown of Tucson, AZ, Carrie and Phil Morris of Rostraver, and Pamela and Bill Sokol of Belle Vernon, many nieces and nephews and her loving dog, Teddy. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon, PA 15012 (724)-929-5300.
