Obituary for Charles A. Alexander Charles A. Alexander, 93, of Beloit, WI, died Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. He was born March 28, 1925 in Hardinsburg, KY, the son of Richard and Anna (Brown) Alexander. Charles attended Beloit Schools.

He was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Navy. Charles married Helen C. Cook on June 8, 1946. She predeceased him on December 20, 2000.

Charles formerly owned and operated Charlies Services and formerly employed by Beloit Tool and retiring in 1990 from Gilman Engineering after 22 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and playing cards. Charles was a life member of the North American Hunting Club.

He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus St. Thomas Council #605. Survivors include his children, Constance (David Erickson) Alexander of Beloit, WI, Aileen Downing of Janesville, WI, Terry (Lawrence) Brown of Beloit, WI, and Joyce (Harold) Rogers of Madison, WI; grandchildren, Amanda (Shawn) Williamson, Christopher (Elliot Murphy) Brown and Angela (T.J.) Dooley; great grandchildren, Nora Helen Dooley, Samuel Ray Dooley and Garrett Hunter Williamson; sisters, Betty (Darwin) Sweezer, Cleo (Tom) Hall and Mary Rose Gregory; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Alexander; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Vera Cross. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Joseph, Richard and Lafe; two infant sisters, sisters Juanita Weidenhoeft and Lucille Cooper, step mother Mary Agnes Cannon Alexander and son-in-law Kevin Downing.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Charles will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2018 in St. Jude Catholic Church, 737 Hackett Street, Beloit, WI. Burial will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery with Military Rites accorded by the V.F.W. Post # 2306.

Visitation of remembrance will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI.
