Charles “Chuck” H. Walker III entered into eternal rest after a brief illness on November 1, 2018 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. He was born on Labor Day, September 6, 1954 in Attleboro, MA. Chuck was the son of the late Charles “Charlie” H. Walker Jr. & Margaret “Peggy” R. (Parker) Walker of Lancaster.

He was the husband of Gail L. (Simmons) Walker with whom he celebrated 28 years of marriage this past August 25th. Chuck served in the United States Army as an SP-4 Military Police during the Vietnam War. He also served in the Pennsylvania National Guard.

Chuck retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a mechanic on Harrisburg Pike in July on 2014 after 37 years of service. Chuck enjoyed being with his wife, watching football, especially the New England Patriots, fishing, vacations to Atlantic City, Las Vegas and cruises and spending time with friends. He was lifetime member of the AMVETS Post 19 of Lancaster, American Legion Post 469 of Wrightsville and the Pequea Sportsmen’s Club.

He was preceded in death by a son, Charles H. Walker IV and brother, Michael Walker. A graveside service will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
