Obituary for Mr. Charles D. Strofeldt “Well, let’s put it this way…” Charles D. Strohfeldt, age 64 long-time resident of Manitowoc County, entered eternal peace on Friday afternoon, January 4th, 2019. Charles graduated Reedsville High School in 1972, worked for numerous companies including Broadwind Towers, Fisher Hamilton, ERI, B&B Metals, Manitowoc Company and even owned his own asbestos removal company for a time. Charles was survived by daughter Shannon Strohfeldt, son Eric (Kendra) Leurquin , four brothers and sisters Mary (Karl) Erickson, Paul Strohfeldt, Barbara Torp (Mark Christel), William (Victoria) Strohfeldt, many nieces and nephews, and four sisters-in-law Judy (Wayne) Dunbar, Marjorie (Gene) Goldschmidt, Carol (Harvey) Boeder, Joyce (Richard) Holtz and great friends Kenny and Delores Bier.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife Doris (Schaefer) Strohfeldt, his parents Chester (Chet) and Elizabeth (Betty) Strohfeldt, his father- in-law Reuben Schaefer and mother-in-law Erna Schaefer, brother-in-law Randel Torp, and also great friend Norman Bartz. Charles was a talented craftsman and handy man, and enjoyed many country music festivals, western movies, classic cars, and Native American culture. He was a proud man who worked hard to provide for his family.

He will be dearly missed, “and that’s a fact”. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Sepia Chapel, 3562 Finger Road. A Celebration of his life, including sharing of memories will be held at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a Memorial Fund has been established in his name.

The family would like to offer a warm note of appreciation to the Emergency Room and Nursing Staff of Aurora Baycare Medical Center in Green Bay.
