Beloved husband of Karen [Waltz] Cowart and late Emma [Rogers] Cowart, loving father Darleen and Melvin Cowart and Katrina (late Glen) Lowery, grandfather of five, dear brother of Annie (Ernest) Lampkin, Muriel (Robert) Porter, Eugene (Minnie) Cowart, Willie, Shirley, Allen (Stephanie) Cowart, Rosemary (Climon) Nix. He was the father of the late Charles (Shirley) Cowart, Jr., and brother of late Otis (Maryalyce) Cowart and Arthur (AnnieJo) Cowart.
