Charles Gilbert “Sam” Nicholson, 54, of Anniston, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at his residence. The Calhoun County resident was a machinist at The Depotand was raised by John & Ruth Davis. He was an avid Alabama fan and had a heart of gold.

Never having any children of his own, he raised two nephews: Phillip Hill and Brian Gossett, and loved them as his sons. He is survived by his sister: Barbara Ann (Dewey Arlin, Jr.) Sloan; nephew: Randy (Robin) Sloan; and Pawpaw’s special Grandbabies: Lillie, Mercy, and Rain. Visitation will be Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 12-2 PM at Dansby Heritage Chapel with the service to follow at 2:00 PM.

Burial will be in Piedmont Memory Garden. Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Nicholson Family.
