Charles Henry Potts, 90, of Rock Island, passed away Sunday at the Illinois Veterans Home, Quincy. Funeral services will be 12 Noon Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 11:00am to service time.

Burial will be in the Alexis Cemetery. Memorials may be left to Wounded Warriors Project. Charles was born on May 25, 1927 in Rock Island, the son of Albert and Mary (Goetz) Potts.

He married Carolyn Swanson in 1957. Mr. Potts had been employed as a machinist with Servus Rubber for 20 years and later Case IH for 21 years. He had been a member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline and former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Charles was a United States Army Veteran. Survivors include his daughter, Shirley Williamson, Milan; granddaughters, Amy (Russell) Trulson, Oquawka, Monica (Bob) Scheer, Coal Valley, Sarah (Matthew) Lilius, Arlington, VA. ; 7 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, daughter, Lorraine Potts and brother, Albert B. Potts.
