Charles, the son of Joseph Wilson and Lena Royer Martin was born on September 23, 1950, in Gueydan, Louisiana. Visitation will begin Tuesday, January 15, 2019, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, in Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, 173 Gospel Lighthouse Rd, Oakdale, LA.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 10:00 AM, in the Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Oakdale, LA with Rev. James Vandergriff, Rev. Shannon Buxton, and Rev.

LeRoy Spence officiating. Interment will follow at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 3348 University Pkwy, Leesville, LA. Charles loved fishing, he served in the army and held high regard for our country, loved his fur babies, and spending time with his wife and loved ones.

He enjoyed his car with the HEMI motor! Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 15 years, Shirley Martin of Mittie, LA. ; brother, Larry Martin of Egan, LA; sisters, Shirley Doucet and husband A. J. of Moss Bluff, LA, Dorothy Stewart and husband Randall of Urania, LA, Jeanette Dodge of Marksville, LA, and Elaine Brown and husband Cory of Rayne, LA.

Many other relatives and friends. Serving as pallbearers are A. J. Doucet, Joseph Wood, Terry Matthews, Devon Matthews, Lucky Lofton, and Steven Wall. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Randall Brooks and Sandy Matthews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Wilson and Lena Royer Martin.
