Obituary for Charles Whitt Charles Whitt, 89, of Springfield, formerly of Enon, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at home with his family. He was born July 18, 1928 in Korea, Kentucky to the late Ellis and Anna Whitt. Charles left school in the 8th grade to work on the family farm.

At the age of 30 he went to work for Universal Atlas Cement in Fairborn and worked there until he headed to Alabama to work for the same company. After retirement in 1990 he moved back to Ohio with his wife, Esther. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years Esther and a sister Wanda Lee .

Charles is survived by his two sons; Steven (Gayle) Whitt of Springfield, Douglas (Jayne ) Whitt of Huntsville, Alabama five siblings; Oscar (Mildred) Whitt, Norma (Don) Jamison, Jim (Becky) Whitt, Pauline (Larry) Miller, Martha (Bob) McNight, five grandchildren; Lori (Rob), Brandon (Kim), Alicia (Shawn), Nathan, Sara, five great-grandchildren; Alivia, Ethan, Ella, Jaxson, Finnley, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A funeral service will be conducted 12:00 Friday, June 29, 2018 in Adkins Funeral Home, Enon with Pastor Chris Horn officiating. Burial will follow the service in Enon Cemetery.
