Obituary of Charles Lane Charles “Chuck” Isaac Lane, age 87, of Randleman died Monday, June 18, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mr. Lane was born September 7, 1930 in Wyalusing, PA the son of Charles and Rebecca Lane. Charles served in the US Army during the Korean War, serving as an Army Ranger.

He was proud to be an American, loved his country and earned two Purple Hearts during his service. Charles was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife: Joan Roberts Lane of the home. Surviving children: Charles Roy Lane (fiancé Jennifer) of Franklinville, Ann Shoop (Charles) of Randleman, Bonnie Rumsey (Tim) of Dundee, NY, and Martin Andrews (Shelly) of Dundee, NY and 6 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his sister, Helen Lane, brothers, Paul and Kenneth Lane, and son, Ricky Andrews.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 22, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM in the Chapel. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro with Randolph County Honor Guard providing the military rites.
