Obituary of Wanda Thompson Mary Wanda Ingold Thompson, age 88, of Asheboro died Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mrs. Thompson was born in Montgomery County on September 19, 1929 to Rev. G.C. and Bessie Ingold.

Wanda was a homemaker and a member of Central Falls Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Thompson, sisters, Vernice Melton, Myrtle Nixon and Hilda Lineberry, brothers, Torrence Ingold, C.R. Ingold, and Merrill Ingold. She loved cooking for others and spending time with her family.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the wonderful and caring nurses and CNA’s at Clapp’s Nursing Home and Randolph Hospice House. Also thank you to caregivers Alfred, Darcy, Glenda, Jenny, Jennie, Krista, Phillip, Sallie and Tami for the special care you gave to Wanda. She is survived by her niece and caregiver: Vivian Owens and husband, Danny of Asheboro; special family: Chris and Angela Waugh and family of Wilmington, Phillip and Jennie Waugh and family of Liberty, Gordon and Christie Drumwright and family of Asheboro and Chad Owens of Wilmington; stepdaughters: Teresa Bowles and her husband, Roger of Mt.

Gilead, Robin Hinson and her husband, Gary of Norwood; grandchildren: Melanie Dunn and her husband, Jon of Mt. Gilead, Josh Bowles and his wife, Cynthia of Mt. Gilead, Jeremy Bowles and his wife, Karen of Mt.

Gilead, Gary Wayne Hinson of Florence, SC and Mark Hinson and his wife, Jennifer of Albemarle; great grandchildren: Tucker Dunn, Abigail Dunn, Ariel Bowles and Mastin Bowles all of Mt. Gilead, Logan Hinson and Aiden Hinson of Florence, SC and other loving nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 12:00 -1:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.

The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Gerald Hussey officiating. Burial will be in Red Cross Baptist Church Cemetery, Climax.
