Obituary for Charlotte H. Diaz Charlotte H. Diaz, age 83, of Madison Heights, passed away October 29, 2018 at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital in Pontiac. She was born June 24, 1935 in Madison Heights to the late Nelson “Benny” and Frances Diaz. She was the loving mother of Tim (Bridget) Diaz and proud grandmother of Myles, Cash and Desi.

Charlotte was also aunt to many nieces and nephews whom she treated as her own children, along with being a loving sister and cousin. She also had many friends who were like family to her. Charlotte spent her time serving others in a variety of ways.

She was very gifted with handcrafts which included cookie and cake making, knitting and crocheting and a variety of other projects. She will be remembered for her love for others and her caring, continuous desire to know how everyone was faring in life. Charlotte Diaz was a faithful soldier (member) in The Salvation Army Royal Oak Citadel Corps (Church).

Charlotte retired from the Salvation Army Headquarters, where she was a valued employee, in Southfield and was a member of Gilda’s Club. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, November 3, at 11:00 am at the Salvation Army Royal Oak Citadel, 3015 N. Main Street, Royal Oak, MI 48073. Inurnment at Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley on Monday, November 5.
