She was born on October 24, 1955 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Charles and Bertha Mans. She was the youngest of 7 children.

On September 22, 1973, she married Barry Keegan of Prairie Creek, Indiana. Cheryl lived in Colorado since 1987. She was a wife, homemaker, mother of two sons, Brandon and Brian, four grandchildren, Kyra, Josie, Elle, Declan, one brother, Dave Clark of Freedom, Indiana, two sisters, Vera Holley of Columbus and Wanda Fraley of Jeffersonville.

Cheryl was proceeded in death by her Mother, Bertha Mans, her daughter, Amy Lynn Keegan, brothers, Dale Clark and Floyd Clark and sister, Betty Stephens.
