Cheryl C. Ura, age 71, of McKeesport, died April 21, 2018, at UPMC Presbyterian. Born February 03, 1947, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Catherine (Scherrer) Gault and the wife of Daniel Ura. Cheryl worked at McKeesport Hospital, where she started out as an x-ray escort and ended her career as a CNA.

She was a proud member of the Teamster’s Local 205. She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church. Cheryl was past president of the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic School PTG, where all of her children attended school.

Cheryl and Daniel first met at the McKeesport Hospital emergency room, where Daniel went for treatment after a work accident, upon arriving to be cared for, he met a beautiful young lady, which happened to be his x-ray escort and 8 days later became his wife. Cheryl and Daniel spent the last 50 years caring for each other and the family they created. In addition to her husband, Daniel, she is survived by her children, Kevin “Butch” (Candy) Ura of McKeesport, Danielle “Yacky” (Scipio) Ratleff of McKeesport, Cheryl “Pookie” Ura of McKeesport, Anthony “Tony” (Sheila) Ura of McKeesport and George (Michele) Ura of McKeesport; grandchildren, Billy, Jessica, Annsurzadee, Antoine, Antinia, Frank, Jenna, Nicole, Travis and Summer; great grandchildren, Mariah, Shaniya, Laniya, Anniya, Ganiya, Antiniya, Darrelle, A’Ziahla, Antoine, III, Catherine and Malaki; sister, Yvonne Petrik of Lady lake, FL; sister-in-law, Regina Gault; also many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by siblings, Jerry Gault and Jackie Andrews. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 5 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 7 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, on Friday, April 27, 2018, 10:30 a.m., with Fr.
