Chloe’s Obituary Chloe Genevieve Pierce, age 97, of Fremont passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019, at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Chloe was born on November 7, 1921, in West Alexandria, Ohio, and married Richard Lee pierce on May 17, 1977, in Manhattan Beach, California. She enjoyed cooking and was an excellent baker.

Chloe proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. Chloe is survived by her children, John Gibson of Idaho and Bill Gibson of New Zealand; step-children, Michael (Carol) Pierce of White Cloud and Paula Upham of Mesa, Arizona; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard on June 7, 2016; her son, Douglas Gibson; and step-daughter, Kathleen Mount.

Military rites in honor of Chloe’s service to her Country and interment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Friends may share memories and condolences with the Pierce family online at www. crandellfh.
