OBITUARY Christina Joy Schindler March 26, 1985 – October 23, 2018 Christina Joy Schindler, 33, of Evansville, IN passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. She was born in Evansville on March 26, 1985 to William, Jr. and Joy Schindler. She attended Evansville Day School through 6th grade, then 7th and 8th grade at Oak Hill Middle School.

Christi graduated from North High School where she was a member of American Musical Ambassadors and Marching Band, playing Alto Sax for 4 years. She was nicknamed “CJ” in the band because there were so many girls named Christi. While in Evansville, she held various positions at Casino Aztar and Toyota Care Res.

She moved to Naples, FL in 2014 where she owned Barefoot Paradise Residential Cleaning, then moved back to Evansville in 2017 due to a hurricane and her health. Christi loved her adopted animals Levi, Lilo and Bootsie, and her python snake, Buttercup. Her greatest love was being in the Backstreet Boy fan club and she followed them all over the U.S. and Vegas.

She had a passion for adult coloring. We will miss her pretty face and beautiful smile. Christina was preceded in death by grandparents, Agnes Schindler, Helen Stull, Raymond Kerchief; cousins, Dennis Delgman, Bobby Delgman, Izrael Kirsch; and uncle, Keith Becker.

She is survived by her mother, Joy Carson (David) of Evansville and Naples, FL, father, William O. Schindler, Jr. of Evansville and Grenelefe, FL; grandfather, William O. Schindler, Sr.; grandmother, Helen Carson; aunts, Edna Mae Delgman, Tina Kerchief, Debby Booth, Patti Buck (Dirk), Cindy Becker; uncles, Ron Schindler, Rick Kerchief, Paul, Carl and Phil Carson; step-sister, Jamie Carson Payne; step-brother, David Jason Carson; cousins, Kevin Kirsch, Kimberley Wilder, Christian Buck, Amanda Becker, Sean Becker, Nick Becker, Jailyn Wilder, Jerzi Wilder, Faith and Isaiah Kirsch, Don and Barb Delgman, Cherie Salee, and Danielle Roeder. Special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Combs of Deaconess Health Care for years of nurturing and also the Indiana State University Hospital staff, including Dr. Zyromski and team. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel officiated by Pastor Brian DeTalente with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.

Friends may visit 12-5 p.m. Sunday at Alexander West Chapel and 9:30 a.m. until service time on Monday at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Another Chance for Animals, Hadi Shrine, or The Refuge Church.
