Obituary for Marion “Bro. J” Jones Marion “Bro. J” Jones was born February 9, 1955 in Madisonville, Kentucky.

He passed away at the early morning hour of 12:18 am at Baptist Health Madisonville on October 18, 2018. He was 63 years old. Marion was the son of the late Daisy Goldie Jones Evans and Marion Reese.

He graduated from Madisonville North Hopkins High School in 1973 and worked for Daisy’s Florist and the York Corporation in Madisonville for many years. After moving to Evansville, Indiana he worked for the Whirlpool Corporation and retired from there after 15 years of service. While in Evansville, he was a member of Mercy Seat, Inc. “Bro.

J” was preceded in death by his parents, Daisy and Marion, and a sister, Rosie Young. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters: Adrain Herring (Donald) and Aundrea Parker; one sister, Peggy Jones; two brothers: Calvin Ikeard and Larry Jones; two grandchildren: Sharras Wallace and Maniya Chatman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 1:00pm at Branch Street C.O.G.I.C., 445 Branch Street, Madisonville KY with same day visitation from 11:00am until service time.

Rev. Marvin Hightower officiating. Burial in Westside Odd Fellows Cemetery.
