Obituary for Charles “Eddie” Geis Charles Edward “Eddie” Geis, 77, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Linda E. White Hospice House. Eddie was born July 15, 1941 in Buckskin, IN to the late Herbert and Mary Lois (Weller) Geis. He was a 1959 graduate of Elberfeld High School and a member of St. James West United Methodist Church and the Crusader’s Class at the church.

Eddie was also a 30 year member of the Evansville Civitan Club, the R Men’s Club at Reitz High School, Helfrich Men’s Golf Club and the University of Southern Indiana Varsity Club. Eddie umpired baseball for seventeen years and owned and operated Eddie’s Barber and Beauty Shop for over 50 years. Surviving Eddie are his wife of 47 years, Linda (Harris) Geis; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Erica Geis of Evansville; sister, Melcine Deal of Sullivan, IN; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Becky Geis of Newburgh; two grandchildren, Elley and Laila Geis; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.

Funeral services for Eddie will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Gene Backes officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 until 7:00 PM on Sunday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
