OBITUARY James “Ronnie” Ronald Adams Sr. May 11, 1943 – October 9, 2018 James Ronald “Ronnie” Adams, Sr., 75, of Evansville, IN passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from a tragic accident. He was born in Mt. Vernon, IN on May 11, 1943 to Frank Preston Adams, Sr. and Alice Adams.

He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion. Ronnie was involved in many veterans’ activities. He was an avid reader, very intelligent, and very devoted to his family.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Takenyah R. Adams; son, Samuel Adams; grandson, Demarco Jones, Jr.; brothers, Stephen Adams, Jesse Robert Adams; and sister, Beverly Adams. He is survived by daughters, Tashedah Adams, Evette Adams, Suzette Adams, and Jeanette Joiner; sons, Jesse Robert Adams, Sheldon Adams, James Ronald Adams, Jr., Adam Preston Adams; a host of grandchildren; sisters, Saundra J. Thomas, Carolyn Adams Hunt; and brother, Frank Preston Adams, Jr. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Dove Chapel Full Gospel Baptist Church, 4420 Nurrenburn Rd. , with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Mt.

Vernon. Owen Dunn Post #5 will conduct military rites at the cemetery. Friends may visit 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the church.
