Obituary for Ruth A. Fisher Ruth (Aud) Fisher, 90, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 surrounded by her family at her home. She was born January 14, 1928 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Guy Benton and Audrey Ruth (Masser) Aud. Ruth was a devoted homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She enjoyed volunteering her time as a member of the Welborn Auxiliary, journaling, and adding to her extensive collection of salt dishes. Among Ruth’s favorite memories were the 24 trips to Disney World with her beloved husband, Victor L. Fisher, Jr. Forest Hills Baptist and Turning Pointe churches were an integral part of Ruth’s faith life. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Debby Ann (Scott) Baumgartner of Westerville, OH; two sons, Thomas Lee (Debbie) Fisher of Cincinnati, OH, and Dale Victor Fisher of Francisco, IN; two sisters, Docia Lee and Doris (Bob) Hollis, both of Evansville.

She was blessed with seven grandchildren: Amy Bryant, Timothy Baumgartner, Thomas, Jr., Patrick, Christopher, Scott, and Katy Fisher; and fourteen great grandchildren. Her grandchildren remember her as “Belle,” who always listened and loved them with her whole heart. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Victor, 2013; by her twin brother, Billy Aud; by a sister, Patsy Marx, and by her daughter-in-law, Cindy Fisher.

Private funeral services will be held at Pierre Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Evansville Rescue Mission or to Deaconess VNA Hospice. Condolences may be made online at www.
