Frances Dobbs, the last surviving child of Dr. Mitchell Thomas and Ella Thomas of Stearns, KY, died on October 11, 2018. The widow of Gilbert Dobbs, Frances cherished her family and her work. She is survived by her daughter Linda Felts, and sons Mitchell Dobbs and Robert A. “Andy” Dobbs (Terri).

Her son Jim, a Navy pilot, died during the Vietnam War. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Frances’s one hundred years of life will be remembered and celebrated at Franklin Presbyterian Church on Thursday, November 1, at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Franklin Presbyterian church or Franklin Boys and Girls Club would be appreciated.
