OBITUARY Mary Irene Stein June 27, 1927 – October 21, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Mary “Irene” Epley Stein 91 of Evansville, IN passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Linda E. White Hospice House. She was born on June 27, 1927 in Hopkins County KY. Irene was a long-time first grade teacher at West Terrace in Evansville.

She was a member of Howell United Methodist Church. Irene enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with her family. Irene was preceded in death by her Parents Rollie and Dottie Hancock; first husband, Carl “Buster” Epley; second husband, Lenard Stein.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Weis of Chapel Hill, TN; step-daughter, Lori Boothman (Kim) of St. Louis, MO; step-son, Mark Stein of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Derick Weis (Jenny), Jared Weis (Tori), Daniel and Mathew Boothman; great grandchildren, Jacob and Auggie Weis; caretaker and very close friend, Barbara Norman; cousin, Peggy Tippett McCormick; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Pastor Kenny Palmer. Burial to follow at Slaughter Cemetery.

Friends may visit 4-8 PM Wednesday October 24, 2018 at the funeral home and Thursday 9:30 am until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to Howell United Methodist Church or Linda E. White Hospice House. Condolences may be offered at www.
