Christopher Newsome Dennis, 24, died Sunday, December 16, 2018, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Chris was born on August 6, 1994, in Florence, SC, son of C. N. Dennis, III and Sheree Moulds Dennis. He was a graduate of Lake City High School and a member of Salem Free Will Baptist Church.

Chris was a technician at Carolina Tire Company. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering & working on his truck with his good friend, Johnny McGee. Surviving are his parents, C. N. and Sheree Dennis of Coward; sister, Tabitha Christine (Kevin) Montiel of Statesville, NC; brother, Matthew Dennis of Coward; maternal grandparents, John & Shirley Perdue of Scranton; paternal grandmother, Helen P. Dennis of Scranton; nephew, Alexander Montiel; Godparents, Jimmy & Wendy Barfield of Sumter; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, & extended family members.

Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Carroll N. Dennis, Jr. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Lake City Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 20th, at the funeral home prior to funeral services. Memorials may be made to Salem Free Will Baptist Church, 2337 McAllister Mill Road, Scranton, SC 29591.
