Obituary for Christopher John Fournier GARDNER- Christopher John Fournier, 53, of Providence, RI, died Sunday, June 3. Chris was born April 10, 1965, son of William and Carol (Archacki) Fournier. He graduated from Gardner High School in 1983 where he was in the marching band.

Chris excelled academically which led him to be the top male student in his class. He also played football in junior high school. He attended Boston University and was awarded several Scholarships.

Chris lived in East Boston for many years before moving to Providence. Over the years, he worked for New England Wooden Ware, Allston Liquors, and Paine’s Furniture. Chris enjoyed collecting antiques, especially Victrola’s, fishing, and the beach.

He had many wonderful characteristics. He was kind, gentle, and artistic. Family and his Polish heritage were most cherished by Chris.

He leaves his parents, William and Carol Fournier of Gardner; one sister, Denise Fournier of Gardner; one nephew, Will Minchenberg of Gardner; cousins, Mary Ann Doiron and Janice Bloomstein; numerous additional family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ACOS 18 Parkis St. Providence, RI 02907. Funeral services are private under the direction of Lamoureux-Smith & Poliks Funeral Home, A Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner.
