Chris was an accomplished heavy equipment mechanic and operator. He was an avid hunter and a fisherman. His love for the outdoors was only exceeded by his love for his family and Fiancé, Richelle.

His love of family was so evident in both his words and actions. A true “gentle giant”. There was not an engine that Chris couldn’t fix or rebuild, he loved to tinker with all engines.

His favorite reading material was equipment manuals. One of his favorite things to do with friends was to have a beer and a bonfire at the “Big Bridge” He will be dearly missed by the residents of Takotna, Alaska where he made immeasurable contributions to the village infrastructure and the health and well-being of all. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Jan Newton of Takotna, AK; Bob & Betty Pollreis of Largo, FL; George and Jewell Woosley of Fresno, CA; most recently his uncle, Walter Hogan and cousin, Tiffany Lagier both of Caruthers, CA. The love he had for his nieces, Gracie and Sophie; his nephews, Caleb and Colin; would make any room light up with love! He was the first one to teach them about the “tall man”.
