GAVEK, Claire I., 79, of Village Green Circle, died peacefully Tuesday, January 1, 2019 surrounded by her family at Kent Hospital. Born in Coventry, she was a daughter of the late Dora (Forcier) Harbour and Paul Harbour. Claire is survived by her loving children, Cheryl Smith and her husband Robert of Cranston and Stephen Gavek of Warwick.

She was the beloved grandmother of Jessica Smith, Robert Smith, Lilith Gavek and Inara Gavek. She also leaves a foster sister, Gloria Wrightington of Jacksonville, FL. She had many lifelong friends with whom she enjoyed playing cards, going out to lunch, and attending shows.

Her Funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte. 117), Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in SS. John & Paul Church, Coventry.

Burial will be private. Visiting hours Friday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
