Clara E. (Kamp) Berkheiser, 73, of Pottsville, passed away Sunday morning at her residence. Born February 6, 1945, in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Franklin E. and Esther M. (Koch) Kamp. She was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School and a member of Bethany Christian Fellowship E.C., Cressona.

She worked for Lowes as a cashier for several years. Clara enjoyed reading romance novels and books about Amish customs. She was really intrigued by their customs.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Irvin Kamp. Clara is survived by her husband of 51 years, Herman E. Berkheiser; daughters, Barbara Schware wife of Joel, Pamela Berkheiser, and Christine Kramer wife of Oral. She is also survived by her two grandsons, Eric and Tim Schware.

Funeral Services will be held 11AM Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market St., Pottsville with Pastor Chris Rothharpt officiating. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects Wednesday morning from 9AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
