Clarence “Eugene” Boner, 85, of Tiffin, died at 5 a.m. Sunday, December 24, 2017, at St. Francis Home. Eugene was born July 27, 1932, in Tiffin to Clarence C. and Mary Ellen (Homan) Boner. He married Bonny Ellen Mizen January 12, 1974, at St. Mary Catholic Church and she died October 16, 2006.

Other survivors include a son, Todd Bonner of Tiffin; a daughter, Gail (Josh) Newsome of Tiffin; six grandchildren, Lara, Thomas and Kaitlyn Bonner, Juliet, Charitie and Joshua Newsome, Jr.; a brother, Ronald C. (Karen) Boner of Tiffin; a sister, Nancy (Richard) Burns of Sarasota, Florida; and a special friend Burdella Stuckert. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a grandson, Christopher Newsome; and a sister, Marilyn Wurm. Eugene was a graduate of Calvert Catholic High School, a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and retired as a night watchman at Sterling-ITT.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 25, 2018, from 11 am until time of services at noon, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-3113. Rev. Anthony Coci will officiate, and burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.
