Clarence’s Obituary Clarence Smith, a long time Springfield resident, affectionately known as “Bobby” and “Mr. Press”, 88, passed away on March 23, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Born November 26, 1930 in Opp, Alabama to the late Gladys Smith and Frank Cunningham, he was a US Army veteran who served in the Korean War. After his service, he moved to Springfield, where he worked locally and raised his family.
