Claude’s Obituary Claude passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the age of 69. Visitation will be at Wilbert Funeral Home in Plaquemine on Wednesday, January 30th from 10am until religious service at 2pm conducted by Rev. Gene Vincent.

Interment of cremains at Louisiana National Cemetery on Thursday, January 31st at 2:30pm. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sandra B. Crawford; he also leaves behind a daughter, Shannon Thibodeaux Dillard and husband Keith; five grandchildren, Kade Thibodeaux and wife Kaitlyn, Krislynn Thibodeaux and fiancé Kurt Risinger, Bliss Thibodeaux, Brooklynn Dillard, Zachery Dillard; seven great grandchildren, Nathan, Tripp, Niles, Silas and Adler Thibodeaux, Addalynn and Carson Risinger; sister and brothers, Wanda Kinsman, Richard Crawford and wife Dorothy, Douglas Crawford and wife Janice, twin brother, Clyde Crawford; sisters-in-law and brothers in law, Rodney Varnell and wife Linda, Zella Blanchard and husband Eddie Schoonmaker, Mary Sue Gulotta; former daughter in law, Jo Lynn Gascon Burns and husband Gary; several nieces and nephews. Claude was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he earned several medals of honor including the Purple Heart.

He was the District Commander of the 6th District Area D American Legion, Commander of American Legion Post 160 and VFW Post 3785. Pallbearers will be Gerald Reid, Kade Thibodeaux, Zachery Dillard, Keith Dillard, Jeremy and Brad Gulotta, Rodney Varnell and Gary Burns. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Westside Honor Guard.

Preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Jeanette Anderson Crawford; son, Jeff Thibodeaux; brothers in law, Dale Kinsman, Terry Blanchard and Mark A. “Tony” Gulotta.
