Claudette Slaughter Jenkins, 83, of Morehead City, passed away November 21, 2018, at Crystal Bluffs Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Gethsemane Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Rob Pate. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Jenkins of Morehead City and Denise Shopshire and husband, David, of Morehead City; and her 4-legged companion, Bree.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Lela Slaughter. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Munden Funeral Home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the caregivers at Crystal Bluff and special friend and caregiver, Rometra Simmons.
