Obituary for CLifford Frederick Nelson Clifford “Cliff” Fredrick Nelson was called home to his Heavenly Father on Monday, September 10th, 2018. Cliff was born to Clifford Finley Nelson and Roselee Haddenham on June 1st, 1935 in Kemmerer, WY. Cliff was a long-time member of the LDS Church, and served three missions, two of which he served alongside his wife, Maurlene Wilson Nelson.

Cliff and Maurlene were married on March 21st, 2008 and have resided in Sunset, UT for the past 10 years. On September 1st, 2009, the couple was sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple, so in their afterlife, they would share their love forever. Cliff found happiness in serving the community, doing church work, and researching genealogy.

He also enjoyed spending time and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cliff is survived by his wife, Maurlene & his children: Craig Nelson (Vicky), Brad Nelson (Joy), Tammy Goodrich (Larry), Todd Nelson (Tami), Mark Nelson (Dianne) & Regan Sorensen (Richard) from his previous marriage to Connie Seamons, his daughter: Sawyer Nelson Long from his previous marriage to Donna Long, & his children: Brooke Boeskove, & Bo Nelson from his previous marriage to Patty Nelson. Cliff is also survived by his step-sons: Joey Ables (Nessa) & Dustin Ables, Sr. (Alisa), his brothers: Larry Nelson (Sonya) & Gary Nelson (Ada), & his sister: Dixie Webb.

Cliff was truly blessed in life with 44 grandchildren & 44 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many other family members & friends who loved him and will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, his son: Brent Nelson, his step-son: Bliss Anthony “Tony” Ables, and his brother: Bill Nelson.

A viewing will be held Monday, September 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Church of Latter Day Saints, Sunset 3rd Ward located at 338 W. 1800 N. Sunset, UT 84015. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. . Burial will take place at Liberty Cemetery, 3930 N. 3500 E., Eden, UT 84310 In lieu of flowers, please donate to the funeral home to help pay for Cliff’s final expenses.
