Columba “Connie” Arsolon Caces (91) of Lakewood, California, entered into eternal life on Saturday, January 13, 2018 peacefully in her sleep after a decline in health. Connie was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on Monday, September 20, 1926 to Rosa Asciano Arsolon and was the youngest of four children and had four half brothers and a surviving half sister, Clare Sinlao. In 1936, she moved to the Philippines, just three years before the start of WWII.

At the age of 18, she married Gregorio Cadawan and had seven children (from oldest to youngest) Lito, George, Lando, Perla, Tess, Ben and Rose. She moved to the United States in 1960 and has since called New York, Florida, Iowa and California her home. In 1962 she was remarried to Luis Caces.

Connie had a passion for sewing, she enjoyed baking, drinking a glass of wine on holidays and special occasions, going to the casino and being in the presence of her family. Connie was a homemaker for most of her adult life. She was also quite the traveler, moving from state to state by the “Greyhound” bus to be with her children and grandchildren.

She enjoyed keeping her mind sharp by doing word searches and puzzles and strengthening her faith in God by reading her Bible. She is survived by her six living children, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She touched the lives of countless families, friends and acquaintances whom were blessed to have her in their lives.

She will be remembered by her beautiful warm smile and her sunshine eyes. Connie will be missed by many, but she will be loved by generations. Visitation at Stonebridge Funeral and Cremation Services on Friday, January 19th 2018 at 9:30 to 1:30 PM.
