Connie Conway Roukoski, 85, a lifelong resident of Marietta, peacefully passed away on February 6, 2019 after a courageous battle with Alzheimers. Connie was born on December 21, 1933 and lived in her beloved family home at 379 Atlanta Street until adulthood. She attended Marietta City Schools, the University of Georgia and was employed by Lockheed, Watkins and Proctor Insurance Company and WellStar Health Systems.

Connie’s grandfather William Anderson Florence owned a dry goods and clothing store on the Marietta Square beginning in the late 1800’s. Her Mother Odene Florence Conway took over running the family business and refined it with ladies and children’s clothing once Connie’s grandfather died. She was a sustaining member of the Junior League of Cobb/Marietta and a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church.

She served her church joyfully and faithfully. She loved her family, friends and church, but her greatest joy was that of being a grandmother. As her grandchildren said, her constant kindness, joy and laughter were infectious, and she never met a child or dog that didn’t adore her.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Pam Roukoski Webb, her husband Randy and their children Natalie and Davis Webb; son, Andy Roukoski and his wife Trixie, their children Mitzi and Kayley Roukoski. During her later years, she resided at Greenwood Place. The staff at Greenwood loved Connie and they gave her outstanding care for which the family will be forever grateful.

Contributions can be made in loving memory of Connie to Marietta First United Methodist Church/Organ Fund at 56 Whitlock Avenue, Marietta, Georgia 30064. The family will receive friends from 2 PM until 4PM Sunday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta. Services will be private.
